Job Description:
- Receive and review documents to prepare customs declarations for import and export shipments.
- Classify HS codes and apply tariff schedules based on documents such as contracts, commercial invoices, and packing lists; send declarations and tax amounts to customers for confirmation.
- Perform customs declarations using VNACCS/VCIS software.
- Handle customs declarations for all types (e.g., export processing, outsourcing, trading, non-commercial shipments, transit goods); calculate taxes and finalize declarations.
- Receive feedback and transmit data to customs authorities.
- Request advance payments for cargo handling fees and compile documents for expense settlement.
- Apply for C/O and other required licenses depending on customer requests.
- Update customers on the work progress and provide regular reports.
- Support and consult customers with optimal logistics solutions.
- Prepare complete documentation and hand over to field staff for customs clearance.
- Handle urgent issues reported by field staff within given responsibilities to avoid affecting company reputation and customer relationships.
- Receive and resolve customer complaints regarding service quality.
- Coordinate with Domestic team to arrange trucks/containers and ensure goods delivery follows proper procedure after customs clearance.
- Collect release orders, authorizations from shipping lines/co-loaders, and handle HAWB separation procedures at warehouses per import department plans.
- Submit customs declarations at customs branches.
- Work with government agencies to apply for C/O and industry-specific permits as required by clients.
- Gather documents and invoices to return to clients and for internal circulation.
Job Requirements:
- College degree or higher in Economics, Marketing, Commerce, International Trade, Maritime, or related fields.
- At least 2 years of experience in logistics/forwarder companies.
- Conversational English.
- Solid knowledge of documentation, customs procedures, C/O, and quarantine (KDTV).
- Experience in cargo handling and warehousing/logistics operations.
- Hardworking, detail-oriented, responsible, and eager to learn.
- Priority given to candidates with experience handling cargo at Ports/Airports/Industrial Zones.
